PAUL
JONATHAN COURT
aka: PJ Court
songwriting, vocals, guitars (1985-1991)
b. July 27, 1965
After The Primitives disbanded, Paul Court, Tig Williams, and Neil Champion
formed Starpower. Tracy Tracy provided vocal work for Starpower's cover
of the Lee Hazelwood/Nancy Sinatra tune, 'Some Velvet Morning'. Starpower
later stripped down to the short-lived, The Fixations; "a beatnik
sounding band" which continued the Hazelwood/Sinatra duet style
with some demos recorded with other female singers. After this Paul
formed Hedy again with Tig Williams and Neil Champion. Hedy released
the single, 'Superfine', produced by Paul Sampson. In the mid 90's,
Paul fronted Reverb Inferno ("a lo-fi 5th Dimension meets Silver
Apples") and created some demos.
Paul recently spent some years studying graphic design and is now involved
in painting as well as some photography work. His paintings can be seen
and purchased at his site, Joypop Studio. Some of his photography work
is shown in the Lomography book, Don't Think*Just Shoot.
September, '05 & June '07, Paul has been
guest DJ at the London club, How Does It Feel To Be Loved. His set list
can be seen on their site.
